Abstract

|
|
Multiple symmetric lipomatosis is a rare disease of unknown etiology manifestating as symmetric. abnormal deposits of adipose tissue in head, neck and upper trunk. This disease usually causes cosmetic problem only. but in certain cases, it-can extend´ into the mediastinum, and may produce obstruction of the trachea or vena cava. Surgical removal is the only known successful treatment.
